Colin Fleming will take his place in the AEGON Team GB squad who will face Ukraine in the Davis Cup World Group 1 tie at Braehead Arena next week. Fleming will line up alongside Andy Murray, Ross Hutchins, Josh Goodall and Chris Eaton.

Colin was selected by John Lloyd and Paul Annacone after a series of play-offs with 5 other British players. Colin beat Dan Evans 7-5, 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 to secure his place in the squad, aftter losing his first match on Monday 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to Josh Goodall.

After the play-off Lloyd said “They’re a good group of fellas and there will be a good team spirit. They’ve all got a good hunger. It will be a big test but it will also be a huge opportunity for them. We achieved what we wanted from the play-offs – the boys played best-of-five sets matches under a lot of pressure.”
