Centre Court Moselle Open

After the Davis Cup success there was no hanging around for Colin and Ross as they flew to France for the Moselle Open.  This is the first week of a long 3 week circuit that takes them into Asia as they look to build on a successful few months.  After the recent successes Colin holds his highest ever doubles world ranking at 43 in the world.

The British pair are seeded 4th for the tournaments and faced Bachinger and Kamke in the first round, however their opponents pulled out injured giving the British pair a bye.

In the quarter finals Colin and Ross faced Zelenay and Shamasdin.  They produced a solid display to win the match 6-4 7-5 setting up a tough semi final match against Dlouhy and Mello.

In the semi finals Ross and Colin got off to a flying start with an early break and took the first set 6-1.  They also got a break up in the second set and were serving at 4-3.  However the match got away from them and their opponents broke back and managed to sneak the second set 6-4 before winning the decisive champs tie break 10-4.

Colin and Ross will now head to Kuala Lumpur for their next tournament.
