To start off, here are a few questions you may have that we’ve answered to help you out:
What are e-Cigarettes?
Electronic cigarettes take various shapes, forms and sizes. Most of them resemble the traditional cigarette. Some use larger parts and batteries – others may even look a lot like pens. No matter the type, e-Cigarettes all share a basic concept in terms of design and function. They have a battery, an atomizer, a chamber or tank that contains e-liquid and a mouthpiece. The liquid is heated using a coil and is turned into a vapor which contains nicotine, inhaled and exhaled by the user, a lot like smoking regular cigarettes.

How Do You Get Started?
As mentioned earlier, e-cigarettes are made of the main parts: an atomizer, a battery, and the e-liquid solution. With these in check, you can start switching to e-cigarettes. It is recommended to have at least two batteries on hand, so you can recharge the other one while using another.
How Do You Smoke an e-Cigarette?
It is fairly simple and easy to smoke an e-cigarette. When the battery is charged and attached to the atomizer, you can start using the device. Unscrewing the mouthpiece at the tip will let you insert the e-liquid, which is basically the nicotine solution. It is important to make sure that you don’t spill or drip on the outside or the sides of the device. After filling it up, screw back the tip. A lot of e-cigarettes are equipped with a power switch which should be pressed when inhaling, these are called manual batteries.
Is an e-Liquid Solution Similar to a Traditional Tobacco Cigarette?
It is nearly impossible to quantify the exact amount (ml) of e-liquid that is comparable to an actual cigarette. There are a number of factors to weigh in, such as how long or deep your drags (inhalations) are, what type of e-cigarette you are using, and more. On average, though, 2 ml of the e-liquid solution is about equal to a whole pack (20 sticks) of regular cigarettes. Again, this is just an estimated value.
Are There Flavors Available to Choose From?
Yes, there are. There is a wide array of e-liquid flavors in the market today. Each manufacturer (brand) offers a different selection, but some of the most popular ones include: chocolate, cherry, apple, blueberry and other fruity flavors. Some e-cigarettes are even made to taste like regular tobacco products, like Kamel, Menthols, and USA Mix. Even more adventurous flavors come in the likes of Coca-Cola, cappuccino, and Dr. P blends, among others.
Do e-Cigarettes Help in Smoking Cessation?
This has been one of the biggest controversies with the e-cigarette industry. The truth is, only you – the user – can really answer this. Going back to the history of the device, they were originally created to help in smoking cessation, although there has been some difficulty in gathering evidence about their efficacy. A lot of former smokers of tobacco products made the switch to e-cigarettes, for a variety of reasons – expensive costs, health benefits, etc. Many of them have claimed successful weaning in terms of nicotine requirements and cravings. A lot actually prefer e-cigarettes over regular ones, and for good reason.
