Schedule

Updated schedule now on the Schedule page running from the  Davis Cup through to the grass court season.

Flemski called up to DC team vs Lithuania

Colin and Ken have been named in the 4-man Davis Cup team selected to play against Lithuania first weekend in March. For Colin, this is the third time on the team, with the first vs Ukraine and the second on the bench vs Poland. For Ken, this is likely to be his debut although he was in the party and hit with the team in the match against Poland.

Both are thrilled with their selection, Skuppers in particular, and plan to bring their best to the court and to the team for the crucial doubles match in the middle of the tie.

They are returning from Delray Beach, where they had a narrow defeat to Dent and Harrison despite having the upper hand for a good part of the match  but unfortunately not able to convert any of 6 break points against the big-serving Dent, and will get down to preparation for the tie with the rest of the squad.

Training

After a tough couple of weeks Flemski are now at the NTC training. Having made it back from Australia after their 2nd round loss they had a tough draw in San Jose and lost in the 1st round to the Bryan brothers, who were out for revenge for their Queens loss.

Flemski then made thier way to Marseille where Colin’s tweet showed that while they lost it was a tight match where they felt their performace was much improved.

They continue to work this week at the NTC with Louis and will be building up to potentially representing GB in the Davis Cup in Lithuania where they have currently been selected as part of the 6 man squad by captain John Lloyd.

Aus Open

Flemski are scheduled 1st up on Court 2 for their 2nd round match v Kohlmann & Neiminen. Thats midnight UK time for live score followers….

Court 2 is a show court so hoping for some TV coverage on BBC2 or Eurosport.

Overnight Kohlmann & Neiminen have put out Mirnyi & Bhupathi 6-4 6-4 and Flemski will now meet them in the 2nd round, likely to be played on Saturday - so overnight Friday to Saturday for GB followers.

Skupski said:”Practise has been going really well and we are looking forward to our 2nd round match. Every opposition needs to be beaten, and matches won, and it won’t be easy! We are not scheduled to play tomorrow so more good practise time! BOOM!”

Good Luck boys.
